Every feature, explained

Four extensions. Every feature explained. Zero telemetry.

SuperchargePerformance

Speed up Chrome. Free RAM. Block ads and trackers.

Add to Chrome — Free

Tab Suspender — Free Chrome Extension

Unloads inactive tabs using Chrome's native API to free memory. Pinned tabs, audio tabs, and whitelisted sites are always protected.

Ad Blocker — Block Ads and Trackers in Chrome

Blocks ads, trackers, analytics, and malware/phishing at three coverage levels. All rules ship with the extension — no external list fetching, ever.

Script Blocker — Block Third-Party Scripts

Blocks third-party scripts loaded from external domains — social widgets, analytics, and trackers — while leaving login and payment flows untouched at PRO level.

Font Optimizer — Use System Fonts for Speed

Blocks web font downloads and substitutes system fonts, reducing page weight and improving load speed. Three levels let you choose how aggressively fonts are replaced.

Resource Prioritization — Faster Page Loading (2026)

Defers loading of below-the-fold images, iframes, and off-screen resources so the content you can see loads first. Three levels of coverage available.

Preloading — Open Web Pages Instantly in Chrome (2026)

Starts loading likely next pages in the background before you click, so navigation feels instant. Two levels: same-site only or all domains, both free.

Stop Autoplay — Block Video Autoplay

Stops videos from autoplaying across the web. Choose between blocking everything or allowing major video platforms and conferencing tools while stopping the rest.

Safe Mode — Auto-Recover Broken Pages

Detects when a page has been broken by SuperchargePerformance's features and automatically disables them on that page. A safety net for aggressive settings.

YouTube & Twitch Video Ad Blocking (2026)

Strips video ads from YouTube and Twitch before playback. Handles pre-rolls, mid-rolls, server-side insertion, overlays, and YouTube's anti-adblock detection.

Smart Page Cleanup: Cookie Banners & Popups (2026)

Auto-Reject Cookie Banners runs on by default — no setup needed. Smart Page Cleanup is a separate opt-in toggle that adds CSS-based ad-slot hiding and popup blocking.

Site Whitelist — Per-Feature Domain Exemptions

Exempt any domain from specific SuperchargePerformance features. Block ads on everything except your banking site. Keep Spotify active while still blocking its ads.

Block All Images in Chrome — PRO Feature (2026)

PRO-only toggle that blocks all image requests. Maximum load speed for text-heavy research, documentation reading, or data-constrained connections.

Background Tab Throttling — Cut Chrome CPU at Rest (2026)

PRO-only toggle that reduces how often background tab scripts can run, freeing CPU for the active tab. Useful on machines where Chrome consumes high CPU at rest.

DNS Prefetching — Open Links Faster in Chrome (2026)

PRO-only feature that scans links on the current page and injects preconnect and dns-prefetch hints, resolving domain lookups (and optionally full connections) in the background before you navigate.

SuperchargeNavigation

Vertical tabs. Persistent workspaces. Tab search.

Add to Chrome — Free

Vertical Tabs for Chrome — Side Panel Tab Manager

A floating in-page vertical tab list that sits right inside the browser window. See all open tabs, groups, and pinned tabs — drag to reorder, collapse to a favicon strip, or hide until you need it.

Browser Workspaces — Save and Switch Tab Sessions

Save any set of tabs as a named workspace and switch back in one click. Tab groups, pinned tabs, mute states, and group colors are all preserved. No cloud account required.

Session Time Travel — Auto Tab Snapshots

Auto-snapshots your tabs every 5 minutes. Rewind to any point and restore as a new workspace — a safety net no other extension offers.

Tab Search — Command Palette for Chrome

Alt+K opens a full-page Spotlight-style search across open tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history. No match? It falls through to a web search automatically. Your Arc command palette, in Chrome.

Smart Tab Grouping — Auto-Group by Domain

Alt+G groups all open tabs by domain in one keystroke. Inactive groups auto-collapse to reduce clutter. Alt+Shift+G undoes all grouping instantly.

Glance Peek — Preview Links Without a Tab

Alt+Click any link to preview its content in a full-screen overlay without opening a new tab. Read what you need, then dismiss or promote it to a real tab. Arc's Peek, for Chrome.

Chrome Keyboard Shortcuts — FULL Navigation Layer (2026)

Alt+B, Alt+K, Alt+G, hint mode, Alt+wheel tab cycling, arrow scroll — the complete keyboard layer for Chrome tab management. Every action configurable, every shortcut individually toggleable.

Super Drag — Open Links by Drag Direction

Drag any link up to open it in a background tab, or down for the foreground. Selected text works the same: up searches in background, down in foreground. Disabled on web apps like Google Docs.

Hint Mode in Chrome — STOP Reaching for Your Mouse (2026)

Hold Shift and letter badges overlay every clickable element. Type the label to click it, add Alt to peek it, or add Ctrl to open it in a background tab — no mouse needed.

Custom New Tab Page for Chrome — Workspace Dashboard (2026)

Replace Chrome's default new tab with a workspace dashboard. See your workspaces, pinned tabs, and top sites at a glance — with a live clock and unified search bar.

Tab Deduplication — No More Duplicate Tabs

SuperchargeNavigation detects when you open a page that's already in your browser and prompts you to switch to the existing tab rather than creating a duplicate. Enabled by default.

SuperchargeAudio

Volume boost, 10-band EQ, and spatial audio for any tab.

Add to Chrome — Free

SuperchargeCapture

Screen recording and screenshots. Local-first, no watermark.

Add to Chrome — Free

Full Page Screenshot — Scroll & Stitch in Chrome

Captures a whole scrolling page as one image by scrolling and stitching. Fixed and sticky elements are frozen so headers don't repeat and lazy-loaded sections don't come out blank.

Screen Recorder Chrome Extension — No Login

Records a tab, window, or full screen. Recording a tab skips the OS screen-picker. Mic, system audio, and a live level meter are built in, and footage is chunked locally so a crash can be recovered.

Screenshot Annotation Tool — Blur, Arrows, FREE

A built-in editor for every capture, or any image you paste in: arrow, box, ellipse, highlight, step numbers, spotlight, text, redaction, crop. Copy, save as PNG/JPG/WebP, or PDF. Nothing paywalled.

Auto Zoom Screen Recording — Free in Chrome

The video auto-zooms toward each click — and every zoom is an editable timeline segment: retime it, change its strength, drag its aim, or draw one as a box. Rendered locally, for tab recordings.

Webcam Screen Recorder for Chrome — With Blur

Records your camera alongside a tab recording — as a live draggable bubble, or as a separate stream you reposition, resize, reshape, and mirror in the editor afterwards. Blur runs on-device.

Automatic Captions for Screen Recordings — Free, Offline

One click transcribes your recording's speech into editable caption cues, using a Whisper model that ships inside the extension. Fully offline — the audio never leaves your machine, and it's free.

Blur Sensitive Info in a Screen Recording — Free

Drag a blur box over anything sensitive in a recording and add keyframes so it follows what moves. The blur paints over an opaque base, so the original pixels can't bleed through at the edges.

Remove Silence From a Screen Recording Automatically

One click scans the audio for dead air — gaps of 0.6 seconds or longer — and cuts every one, closing the recording up so your speech flows. Shorter, natural pauses are left alone.

Change Clip Speed in a Screen Recording — Free in Chrome

Select any clip and set its speed: 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, or 2×. Where two speeds meet, playback eases through a smooth ramp instead of snapping. Applied at export, and undoable like any other edit.

Trim and Split Screen Recordings — Free in Chrome

Drag the trim handles, split at the playhead, and ripple-delete what you don't want — the timeline closes up around the cut. Full undo/redo, and edits autosave so you can reopen and keep going.

Add Background Music to a Screen Recording — Free

Upload your own track and the editor mixes it under the recording at export. Automatic ducking dips the music while you speak and brings it back up in the pauses — no fader-riding, no video editor.

Keystroke Display for Screen Recordings — Free in Chrome

Draws pressed keys as pill chips near the bottom of the video — ⌘, ⇧, Enter, letters — so viewers can follow shortcuts. Keys typed into password, payment, or code fields are dropped, never recorded.

Screen Recording to GIF in Chrome — No Watermark

Exports any recording as a GIF next to WebM and MP4 — up to 120 seconds, three size presets, 12/24/30 fps. Every edit, from zoom to captions, bakes into the loop. Encoded on your machine.
