You open YouTube for one video. The home feed, the Shorts shelf and the column of recommendations are built to keep you there. Watch intentionally in SuperchargeFocus hides those parts, so the video you came for is what you see.
It runs in Chrome and Edge, with no account.
Four Parts, Each With Its Own Switch
| Part | What is hidden or changed |
|---|---|
| Shorts | Shorts shelves, Shorts items and links into Shorts |
| Recommendations | The related videos column and the home feed grid |
| Comments | The comment section under the video |
| Autoplay | Videos that start without a click are paused |
Open the panel on YouTube and turn on Watch intentionally from the Make this page calmer chips. Then open Watch intentionally parts to keep any part you still want. The chip shows On, Custom or Off so you can see the state at a glance.
How the Autoplay Part Works
When a video starts playing and you have not clicked or pressed a key in the last couple of seconds, SuperchargeFocus pauses it. Press play and it plays. The extension never changes YouTube’s own settings or the video’s attributes, so turning the part off restores normal behavior at once.
Hidden in Your Browser Only
Nothing is removed from YouTube or your account. Watch history, subscriptions and settings are untouched. Turn Watch intentionally off and the page looks normal on the next load.
Combine With Focus Rules
Watch intentionally keeps YouTube usable. If you want it closed entirely during work hours:
- Add
youtube.comto your block list for focus sessions. - Give it a daily time limit for the rest of the day.
- Add a path exception for a course or playlist you need while you focus.
Hide Anything Else
For parts of YouTube that the four switches do not cover, or for other sites, the element picker hides any part of a page you point at.
