Google Drive Screen Recording Share — Chrome Extension
Send a finished SuperchargeCapture export to a 'SuperchargeCapture' folder in your Google Drive, then share it with a link. On demand, free.
Updated
Recordings are easy to make and harder to hand over. SuperchargeCapture’s Drive share closes that gap: send a finished export straight to a folder in your own Google Drive, and share it with a link. No cloud account of ours, and no upload you did not ask for.
What Google Drive Share Does
Sharing a finished SuperchargeCapture export to Google Drive is a user-initiated action. When you start it, the export is uploaded to a ‘SuperchargeCapture’ folder in your own Drive and made shareable, so anyone with the link can view it. Everything else stays on your machine. SuperchargeCapture is free, with no paid tier, and the Drive share is part of that.
Setup in Three Steps
- Record a tab, window, or screen with SuperchargeCapture, or open a recording from the local library, finish exporting it, and keep the finished export at hand.
- Start Google Drive sharing on the export. The file is uploaded to the ‘SuperchargeCapture’ folder in your own Google Drive.
- Share the link that comes with it. Anyone with the link can view the file. The share step shows progress while the upload runs, and the finished link comes with a copy action.
What It Controls
Where the file lands: a ‘SuperchargeCapture’ folder in your own Google Drive, not a SuperchargeBrowser service. Who can see it: anyone with the link, because the export is made shareable after upload. And when it happens: only when you start it.
How It Differs From Local Storage
By default, SuperchargeCapture keeps everything on your machine. Recordings and screenshots are written to the browser’s local storage, and the only data path off the machine is this optional Drive share of your own export. Local storage is the normal state, and Drive is the escape hatch for when you actually want to hand a file to someone.
The trade-off is that a Drive link is only as private as you make it. Anyone with it can view. Hand it to the people who should see it, and do not paste it somewhere public if the recording is not meant to be public.
Permissions, Privacy and Compatibility
SuperchargeCapture’s permission list includes the identity permission that the Drive share uses to act on your own Google account, alongside activeTab, storage, tabs, tabCapture, offscreen, scripting and unlimitedStorage. An optional host permission for all URLs is requested only if you enable cross-site recording. If the Google sign-in step is closed before it completes, retrying it does not re-upload the file.
The extension sends no usage analytics or telemetry, and the upload goes to your own account rather than through a SuperchargeBrowser server.
