The ad, tracker, and malware blocklists are refreshed to 195,057 rules. The cookie banner auto-reject engine moved to autoconsent 16.53, adding 284 new rules for a total of 1,501. Cookie banner handling remains off by default. The built-in exception list is unchanged from 1.5.0. No new permissions. No listing changes. Everything from 1.5.0 carries straight across.

Blocklists Refreshed

The ad, tracker, and malware blocklists were refreshed from their sources. The extension now ships 195,057 blocking rules.

The cookie banner auto-reject engine moved from autoconsent 16.40 to autoconsent 16.53. This update adds 284 new rules, bringing the total to 1,501. The engine covers more sites and banner types. 72 existing rules were updated so known banners keep getting handled. Cookie banner handling is still off by default and is switched on in the popup, the same as in 1.5.0.

What Carries Over

The built-in exception list is unchanged from 1.5.0. No new permissions. No listing changes. Everything from 1.5.0 carries straight across.
