SuperchargePerformance gives you a global switch that pauses the extension for exactly one hour, then puts your settings back. Sometimes you want the optimizations off. A new site that breaks when scripts are blocked, a game, a demo you are presenting. No reconfiguring, nothing to remember.

## What Pause Does

SuperchargePerformance's popup has a global switch. Turn it off and the extension pauses its optimization features for one hour. The core of the extension is free, and the PRO tier is a one-time payment that unlocks advanced settings.

## Setup in Three Steps

1. Install SuperchargePerformance and open the popup.
2. Flip the global switch off. The extension's optimization features stand down.
3. When an hour has passed, the extension resumes on its own.

## What It Controls

| Control | Behavior |
|-------------|-----------------------------------------------------|
| Global switch | Off for one hour, then automatic resume |
| Your settings | Stored while paused, restored on resume |

You can end the pause early by turning the global switch back on. During the pause, Safe Mode keeps its saved setting while the other optimization features stand down.

## How It Differs From the Site Whitelist

The pause is temporary and global: it stands the extension's optimization features down for one hour, then brings them back. The whitelist is per-site and persistent: the popup's per-site toggle adds or removes the current site from the list, and a site on the whitelist gets a full bypass by default. Use the pause when you need the browser out of the way for a while. Use the whitelist when a specific site fights the features and you want it exempt permanently.

## Permissions, Privacy and Compatibility

SuperchargePerformance declares the storage, tabs, alarms, declarativeNetRequest and scripting permissions, plus host access to all URLs. Storage holds your saved settings, and alarms fire the resume an hour later. The extension sends no usage analytics or telemetry, so when the features were paused and when they came back never leaves your device.
