# SuperchargeInspect 1.0.0 — Pick Any Element, Take It With You

> SuperchargeInspect opens on any page and lets you pick any element, then take it with you. Hover and click, or move with the arrow keys and lock with Enter. The overlay draws the box model right on the page, and the panel reads out the font, colors, and spacing. One copy puts text and a clean snapshot on your clipboard, with a note if you want one.

Open any page and press Alt+Shift+E, or click the toolbar icon. Move with the arrow keys, lock an element with Enter, and copy a full reference in one click.

## Picking Elements

Two ways in: hover and click, or stay on the keyboard. Left, up, right, and down move between elements, Ctrl+Up (Option+Up on a Mac) goes to the parent, and Ctrl+Down (Option+Down) to a child. Enter locks the element, Esc steps back, and ? shows the shortcut sheet. The picker reaches into shadow roots, slots, SVG, and same-origin iframes.

## See the Box Model on the Page

When you pick an element, it is drawn straight onto the page. Padding and margin get shaded, the content box is outlined, and a ring with amber handles marks the locked one. The outline follows the element's own border-radius, so a rounded element stays rounded.

## Read It in the Panel

The panel reads the element out in full: font family, size, weight, and tracking, with a live specimen in the element's own font. Text, background, and border colors show as swatches, and the box model diagram covers margins, borders, padding, radius, display, and gap. Any value tile copies on click. A breadcrumb of parent elements sits above, and you can dock the panel left or right.

## Notes

Add a free-text note, up to 1200 characters. It lands in the copied reference and in the footer of the snapshot image, so what you noticed goes with it.

## Copy a Reference

Copy puts a full reference on the clipboard as one item: text and a clean PNG snapshot together. The text carries the note, source URL, page title, timestamp, the element's tag and locator, its visible text, the viewport and bounds, the observed styles, and a cleaned-up snippet of the element's code. It omits form values and hidden parts of the page, and any credential parameters in the URL are redacted. You can also copy the text only, the image only, or save the PNG as a file.
